Plans
It’s reallly hard to say what we will do next year as The Channel School closes on 31st August 2007. Lots of us are quite sad about that as we have enjoyed our time here at the school. On the 1st September we will become The Folkestone Academy with a brand new building, lots of new staff and lots of new ideas. Instead of 4 houses there will be 8 and the Principal Mr Patterson is really keen to get us all involved in charity work and community work. We hope that the current charity commmitte will get even bigger. For the first time there will be a 6th form at the school and it will be good to get them involved in our work too.

Benefits
Local people will benefit from our work as they do now. With even more people at our school we should be able to make an even bigger difference.

We hope we will be able to continue all our fundraising for local national and global organisations. We also want to continue to promote awareness of issues like racism and global inequalities.

Organise
Its really hard to know how this will work next year because we need to see how our new day and school will work. All we do know is that we all still want to work as a team to make a difference to our community and the world.
