About our school Our website http://www.queenelizabeth.cumbria.sch.uk
Queen Elizabeth School is a comprehensive school in Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria in the North West of England. It is a large school of around 1,300 pupils from years 7-13. It has acheived specialist staus in Arts, Languages and Training. The school has prided itself in promoting extra curricular activities for a number of years. In a recent ofsted report, it was described as outstanding in every category and the school prides itself on the huge amount of opportunities available and giving its pupils a say in how the school is run. There are many successful clubs during lunchtimes and after school regarding both external and internal issues. One major aim has been to raise money for various charities through the school charity tem, this year we hope to raise £15,000 for a number of charities such as Breakthrough Breast Cancer, MacMillan Nurses and Shelter through events such as the ones displayed and voluntary donations.
