The Giving Nation Awards - recognising the charitable initiatives of young people and schools
The Giving Nation Awards are designed to bring attention to the amazing work done by schools that support charity and community. We're here to provide more recognition for young people's efforts to help those in need. By putting together an Award Entry you will gain more benefit from your community and charitable activities. It also help to meet Citizenship and PSE requirements, for example:
The awards entry process is designed to act as a worthwhile project to support a positive school ethos, helping to promote your school to anyone who drops by on the web. We hope that you find it motivating and empowering; the School Council and/or Charity Committee can take the lead and co-ordinate activities across the school.
Once you have set up your online awards entry you can link the entry back to your school’s website to demonstrate to parents, teachers and the community the positive actions carried out by your school.
Teachers - please refer to the Rules of Entry, Judging Criteria and Guidelines for entrants when overseeing pupils’ work to pull together their Diary.
The Giving Nation Awards were created to bring recognition and give visibility to existing activity for charity and community - not to give pupils a competitive reason to help. We acknowledge the thousands of schools across the nation whose efforts for others seek no reward or recognition, and work to support not lead that activity.
Teachers who have lost their username and password details should call 020 7566 4151 - thanks.
