Re-Solv

What we do?

Re-Solv is the longest serving national charity solely dedicated to the prevention of solvent and volatile substance abuse (VSA), more commonly known as 'sniffing.' VSA is the deliberate inhalation of the chemicals found in every day products such as deodorant, hairspray and cigarette lighter refills with the purpose of getting 'high.' All of these products contain volatile chemicals which, when abused, can result in 'sudden sniffing death.'

Where we work?

We work across the whole of the UK, sometimes even internationally and we have offices in Scotland, Wales, the North East of England and our Head Office is in the West Midlands. We provide fun, interactive sessions in schools and youth clubs and also a variety of eye catching leaflets, posters and postcards.

How many people support us?

Re-Solv is primarily supported by organisations such as the Government, Big Lottery Fund, Local Authorities and Trusts and Foundations. We are hoping to increase our support from the general public, especially young people.

What's in it for you?

Becoming involved in Re-Solv's work means that you are making a huge difference in raising young people's awareness of an extremely dangerous substance. You will also come to understand more about our goals, work and how your fundraising efforts can make a difference to the community you are supporting.

How can you help support us?

A great way to help Re-Solv is to adopt us as your school?s Charity of the Year or Charity of the Term, raising funds and awareness of Re-Solv over the whole period. With a longer term commitment, you are more likely to gain an understanding of the important reasoning behind raising money for Re-Solv.
